Manung Kot is a stunning  hilltop located in Damauli, Tanahun district of Nepal, often called the "Machhapuchhre Viewpoint of Tanahun,". Manung Kot is now emerging as one of the hidden gems of Nepal’s domestic tourism scene. known for its breathtaking sunrise views and the stunning "sea of clouds" phenomenon that blankets the valley below. Situated at an altitude of around 1,000 meters, it offers panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. This peaceful viewpoint has recently gained popularity among nature lovers, photographers, and domestic tourists. Rich in natural beauty and cultural significance, Manung Kot is easily accessible from Damauli and is quickly emerging as a hidden gem in Nepal’s growing eco-tourism destinations.

Manung Kot also provides a stunning view of the mountain ranges, which include Mount Dhaulagiri and Mount Manaslu. Manung offers views of various well-known mountains, including Mt. Machhapuchre, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Lamjung, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Himchuli, and numerous smaller summits. Additionally, the Damauli and the Seti and Modi rivers that flow through the valley may be seen.From Manahunkot View Point, one may observe the Himalayan panorama, the Himayan River, the construction of a hydropower dam, the Himauli Bazaar (the district headquarters for Tanahun District in Gandaki Province), and the villages. Furthermore, sunset occurs in the evening.

Manung Kot is easily accessible. Drive to Damauli, Tanahun, which is situated between Kathmnadu and Pokhara. There are essentially three ways to get to the Manung hill from Damauli. You may either drive your own car or use public transportation to the hilltop, which takes about 30 minutes, or you can climb, which takes nearly two hours from Damauli itself.Manung Kot Danda is situated in Damaulu, Tanahun District, Gandaki State, Western Nepal, at an elevation of 1000 meters above sea level. It is roughly 150 kilometers from Kathmandu and 43 kilometers from Pokhara. 

The drive to the Manung Kot Hill viewpoint takes roughly thirty minutes.Visits are welcome at any time of year, 365 days a year.  However, for the best fog view and Himalayan view with dawn and sunset, October, November, December, January, and February are the recommended times to come during the year.

1) Seti-Gandaki River Confluence: A beautiful spot where the Seti and Madi rivers meet, offering peaceful natural scenery and opportunities for riverside relaxation.

6) Siddha Gufa : One of the largest caves in Nepal, located a bit farther in Bimalnagar, but still accessible from Damauli. Known for its massive chambers and limestone formations.

7) Bandipur : A charming hilltop town rich in Newari culture, with traditional architecture, mountain views, and historical sites which can be reached in a short drive.
